About Me

I'm Nathaniel Brown. I'm an assistant pastor at Good News Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. I'm married to Rebekah and we have two sons, Aaron and Ezra, and a daughter, Ivy. I love God's Word, and I want to do everything I can to help others learn the Bible, apply it to their lives, and share it with others. I'm also passionate about storytelling and the power it holds to communicate the truth. I graduated from Crown College of the Bible, where I earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. I also have another book and I produce a podcast. You can learn more about those below.

Everyone loves a good story, but the best stories don't just entertain, they bring us face-to-face with the truth. On Exempla, I use Christian storytelling to share well-crafted, interesting stories that make you think about God's truth in fresh, challenging ways.

My Other Book

​For many Christians, the last twelve books of the Old Testament are the least familiar books in the Bible. These easily neglected books are brimming with wonderful truths, but prophecy can be intimidating, and some feel that they don’t know where to start. Twelve Portraits of God provides an accessible introduction to these books by pointing us to the lessons each prophet teaches us about the nature of God. The practical lessons each book teaches are interlaced with background information and helpful Biblical context.
